As time passed by, I became Cultural Desk Editor of the Dongguk Post in the blink of an eye, and my work in the Dongguk Post is now over. Starting with the 451st newspaper, my first article at the Dongguk Post, I have written and proofread a lot of articles up to the 458th newspaper for one and a half years.

My goal when I applied to the Dongguk Post was to do overseas coverage since I always wanted to go abroad. Unfortunately, it was impossible because I had to finish my military service. When I first realized this, I felt discourage and depression, so I could not devote my work in the Dongguk Post for a while. Nevertheless, there were many experiences that I could have while still working as a reporter of the Dongguk Post, and they soothed me.

Of course, sometimes I felt myself falling into a rut during working at the Dongguk Post. Continuously repeated work such as writing articles and making newspapers over and over had boring aspects personally. However, the work in the Dongguk Post has improved my skills in schedule management, writing logical and structural writing, and English reading and writing. Also, working as a reporter provided me with many experiences, including attending special lectures for journalists and Dongguk media center seminars, interviewing celebrities and individulas typically inaccessible to non-reporter university students. I once argued with school officials and talked directly to the Dongguk University president by citing my status as a reporter to point out and improve the irrational administration of the school. I tried to make Dongguk University better according to reporter’s work ethic. Although I could not cover overseas due to my military service, working as a reporter in the Dongguk Post was still a valuable experience for me.

I would like to thank my fellow reporters of the Dongguk Post. Since we worked together, I was able to complete my term at the Dongguk Post until the end. Also, for senior reporters, they helped me adapt and stretch myself as a reporter from a Cub Reporter. They were my colleagues, teammates in the office and friends when I had been through a hard time. When I see newspaper of the Dongguk Post, I feel proud of them, and I am aware that those works did not come out by themselves. They are made altogether and ont the result but process itself was proud for me since it was teamwork. After finishing my work in the Dongguk Post, I will pay attention to it as a reader of the Dongguk Post. Goodbye, my readers and fellows!
